Psychology, mind and the Chinese?
I had a really cool teacher a few years ago in an art class. He told me to draw several things on a piece of paper and then proceeded to tell me what each thing represented i.e. sun=happiness (mine was huge so he said it was very important to me and I would live a very happy life) he said it was an ancient chinese thing. The other day my roommate asked me what two animals I would be if I could be any of them, I told him a penguin and a giraffe and he ask me why and I said because everybody thinks penguins are cute and giraffes are so tall they always know whats going on he said the first is how I think the world views me and the second is how I view myself, again ancient chinese thing. What do you call these ancient chinese “things” is there a term? and do you know any more of them? I find them very interesting and they are definetly conversation pieces. Do you know a website where I may find more? Do you have a favorite one?
